PRESIDENT’S COMMENTS: 2019 was an exceptional year in the chapter, but Christ is the center OF all accomplishments. Chapter 16 MEMBERS are so dedicated and a family within itself. With the upcoming Holidays, we should celebrate and enjoy the Holidays with our families, which is genuinely the right thing to do.  I feel blessed to have been the President for the past years as we move on. I see many amazing days ahead filled with fresh ideas under the leadership of the new 2020 officers.  They will be installed this month.

Thank You, Richard (Dick) Trow, President TREA CH-16

SECRETARY COMMENTS: The elected 2020 chapter officers: President – Fred Fanning (Army veteran), Vice-President – Gary Keil (Army veteran), Treasurer – Roger Thull (Army National Guard veteran), and Secretary William Vinyard (Air Force retiree). I am enthusiastic and look forward to working with the new officers.  And confidently believe their guidance will emulate in moving forward in an innovative direction with creative ideas. They have the sanctification and full support of the former chapter officers. We thank the outgoing officers and remaining appointees Chaplain and Sergeant of Arms for their devotion, leadership, and the many chapter accomplishments from 2015 through 2019.  Also, a BIG THANK YOU to Vickie Guillot for expertly being the administrator of our chapter Website.

RESPECT THE COLD WEATHER:  Cold-Weather Tips - Stay indoors during the storm, walk carefully on snowy and icy walkways, avoid overexertion when shoveling snow (going at it too hard can bring on a heart attack − a leading cause of death in the winter), winter car and home furnace maintenance; change the batteries in fire and carbon monoxide alarms.

NOVEMBER MEETING TIDBITS: Attendance drawing – S. Wagner won a $20 gift certificate. President R. Trow introduced guest speaker Glenn Knak, a master woodcarver since 1979.  G. Knak had on hand eight wood sculptor scenes of all branches of the military services that pertained to World Wars I and II. He gave a summary of each of the sculptors. Treasurer S. Wagner reported the chapter November financial status of a balance of $1367.80.
