SECRETARY'S REMARKS: I am pleased to announce that I will step down as the Chapter Secretary. I have
paid my dues and have been waiting for this moment. I have been doing this job for 16 years. It is time for me
to retire.
An incredible individual, Fred Fanning, volunteered to replace me. He has prior expertise and skills as an
administrator of a website, editor of a newsletter, author and writer, Chapter President, and more. The new
change has been long overdue. This Chapter needs a person with new ideas and methods. I thank all of you
for supporting me for 16 straight years. I ask that you do the same for Fred Fanning. Embrace this change
with open arms. Chapter 16 strong!
THANKFULNESS: We received an unexpected monetary donation from the Gier family on behalf of Ella Gier,
who passed away on 05/10/2023. Her husband, Rolland (USAF Retiree, died 12/05/2013), joined the Chapter
in 1991. After his death, Ella joined Chapter 16 and always attended our meetings. We thank their daughter
Cathy and son Russell for remembering our group. A first impression is an everlasting one.

say special prayers.

your item. The ticket price for a meal is $20.00. The drawing for prize tickets, three for $5.00, seven for
