SECRETARY'S COMMENTS: The upcoming months (September, October, November, and December) are vital. We elect chapter officers (President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary) for the 2024 election (2-year term). At our September meeting, we will need one or two members (non-officers) to volunteer for the nomination committee. A nomination committee solicits nominees. Per our bylaws, I'm ineligible for the Secretary position. Why? Because I have reached the term limitation (15 straight years). We need to look within our chapter and encourage those with the skill and ability to accept a nomination for officer positions. I will assist the person elected as the Secretary until the person is comfortable performing the job.

Financially, we have made immense progress, i.e., last September, a checking balance of $2239.13. Now, a checking balance of $4828.93. This triumph occurred because of our chapter members' keen decision-making and help from members of other local veteran groups (VVA and VFW). I extend a delighted Big Thanks to all of you. WISH YOU ALL A GREAT LABOR DAY!
